Three-time Super Bowl champions Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce attended Game 3 of the Dallas Mavericks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves series at American Airlines Center, getting different welcomes from the fans. Seated courtside, both stars reacted humorously to the fans' reception.

The Mavericks' official Twitter account shared a video earlier today showing Kelce being booed by fans while Mahomes sent the arena into a frenzy. Even the Mavericks took a playful jab at Kelce, referring to him as "Taylor Swift's boyfriend."

"Our guy Pat and @taylorswift13's boyfriend in the house!"

It's unclear why Mavericks fans aren't fond of Kelce, especially considering his brother Jason's status as a legend with the Philadelphia Eagles, one of the biggest rivals of the Dallas Cowboys.

The two NFL athletes were accompanied by Mahomes' wife, Brittany, and the new Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, Marquise "Hollywood" Brown.

While the Chiefs have established themselves as an NFL dynasty, the Mavericks continue to pursue their first NBA championship since 2011. With their recent 116-107 win against the Wolves and taking a 3-0 lead in the series, their championship dreams may be realized sooner than expected.

Patrick Mahomes names the Mavericks' X-factor against the Timberwolves

Patrick Mahomes, who has a long-standing relationship with the Mavericks, assessed the series right before it started. Talking with Nick Wright last week, the star quarterback explained that Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving are the key factors for the Mavs' hopes to advance to the 2024 NBA Finals.

"I think if Luka plays the way that Luka can play and if Kyrie plays like Kyrie, they gotta stand a chance against anybody to win it all."

So far, the series development has proven Patrick Mahomes right, as Doncic and Irving dominated the Timberwolves, taking three wins that many doubted they could get.

The Game 3 matchup in Dallas saw Irving and Doncic each score a team-high 33 points. Additionally, Irving had four assists and three rebounds, while Doncic had five assists and seven rebounds.
