Fans roast Tyler Herro on willing to get tattoo of Jimmy Butler's face if Miami win NBA title: "New level of glazing", "Should reconsider speaking"

As the Miami Heat look to make a push through the remaining six-and-a-half weeks of the NBA season, Tyler Herro has upped the stakes. If the Heat win the title, he will get a tattoo of Jimmy Butler's face somewhere on his body.

The comments came during a media scrum in which Herro said without hesitation that he'd get the tattoo:

“For us to win a championship, of course. ... Wherever you can’t see it, but I would still get it. … Imma get it on the bottom of my foot.”

Naturally, fans reacted with some hilarious takes.

Currently, the Miami Heat (32-27) sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference. Just half a game ahead of them, in sixth place, are the New York Knicks (33-27). Fortunately for the Heat, the eighth-place Atlanta Hawks (29-30) are a whole three games being them.

Although that could change down the stretch, the Heat have a little bit of a buffer between them and the eighth seed come playoff time. Of course, with the play-in tournament format, the Heat would end up competing for a playoff spot regardless of whether they finish seventh or eighth.

On the flip side, with the addition of Kevin Love, the Heat could look to make a run and overtake the Knicks. A sixth-place finish come playoff time would keep them safe from the play-in tournament and jump-start their postseason run.

Before the All-Star break, the Heat split their last 10 games but ended on a two-game skid. When they return to the court on Friday, they'll face a Milwaukee Bucks team eager to win NBA gold once again.

Going into the trade deadline, there was much talk of whether or not the Heat would look to shake things up. As a bottom 10 team in both offensive and defensive efficiency, many believed something needed to change.

The man on the chopping block in most trade mockups was veteran point guard Kyle Lowry. While fans and analysts predicted that Lowry could be on his way out of Miami, Jimmy Butler wasn't having any of it. He was quoted by ClutchPoints in a postgame locker room interview, saying:

“I don’t know what’s going to happen. But I love Kyle as an NBA player, as a human being. I want to play with Kyle. But so much is out of my control. So much is out of his control. He could be my guy forever. I want him to be my teammate forever. Whatever happens, happens. But that’s still going to be my dawg. He ain’t going nowhere,”

With the Heat returning to action Friday, only time will tell whether this team can get it together and make a postseason run.
