Kevin Love warms up before a game

Miami Heat's recent arrival Kevin Love has already started putting in work with the team. As the former Cavaliers forward prepares to join his new team on the floor, NBA fans sent in their reactions to a clip of Love working out.

Love has had a rather uneven career trajectory. After winning a title with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Love exhibited a lot less influence on the team as a player. Gradually becoming a role player for the team, he enjoyed a bit of a resurgence over the last two seasons.

As a veteran presence on the bench, Love was quite reliable in the young Cavaliers' squad. However, with the player and the organization agreeing upon the terms of a buyout, Love opted to take his talents to South Beach.

Although several teams were presented as suitors for the forward, the Heat seemed like the ideal location for him. This is evident as Love has already started going to work to prepare for his debut with the Heat.

In the video, Love can be seen taking corner 3-pointers, which is expected to be his primary offensive role with the team. Several expect Love to be a valuable pickup for the Heat. However, fans have had rather mixed reactions to the video.

Here are some of the best ones:

While some fans have a fairly positive outlook towards the move, others haven't been in agreement. Considering Miami's current situation, this seems to be quite valid as well.

The Heat haven't been as successful as they were last season. Many reasons can be pinpointed for the same. However, Love's arrival could certainly address at least a few of their pressing issues.

Kevin Love addresses the Miami Heat's power forward problem

The Miami Heat have had a shortage in the power-forward position for the better part of the season. Considering that Duncan Robinson has been an underperforming asset, the Heat had Caleb Martin play the 4. While Martin did a solid job, he was playing way out of his depth.

The Heat are already an undersized team with Bam Adebayo playing center. Their need for a solid 4 was well-documented. Miami were rumored to be in pursuit of players such as Kyle Kuzma, Bojan Bogdanovic and Jae Crowder ahead of the trade deadline.

Considering that none of these trades went through, the Heat were in an unfavorable position with regards to addressing their needs.

Thus, Kevin Love's arrival offers a fairly reliable solution to the problem. Although he is past his prime, Love is still a high-quality player. He is a solid rebounder with tremendous outlet passing ability. Considering his ability to stretch the floor with perimeter shooting, Love also fits seamlessly into Miami's system.

Given that the Heat are in need of some size, Kevin Love certainly fits the bill. While also considering his championship pedigree, he could be a valuable pick-up for Miami down the stretch.
