Bronny James may be the more highly touted prospect among LeBron James’ two sons, but his younger brother, Bryce, has immense talent too.

Highlights of the 15-year-old high school sophomore recently dropped, showcasing his two-way basketball abilities, which had fans swooning.

In the video, the Sierra Canyon wing can be seen finishing dunks in traffic, scoring off dribbles, blocking shots and hitting tough contested fadeaway jumpers.

The mixtape elicited a strong reaction from fans, with many proclaiming Bryce to be a better prospect than Bronny. That comes despite Bronny being projected to be a top-10 pick in ESPN's 2024 NBA mock draft. Meanwhile, some fans even compared Bryce to Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant.

“Bryce is the one who got the genes. He will be better than Bronny 100%,” one fan said.
“I see KD,” another said.

Here are some more of the top fan reactions:

The overwhelming majority of fan reactions may have been in favor of Bryce James as the better prospect than Bronny James. However, there were still a few fans who defended Bronny. There were also a few who questioned whether people might be overreacting to a 15-year-old’s mixtape.

LeBron James has long made it known that he wants to play in the NBA with his eldest son, Bronny James, one day.

Bronny is expected to play one year of college before declaring for the 2024 NBA draft. Meanwhile, LeBron has a player option with the LA Lakers for the 2024-25 NBA season. That means he could opt out of his option to sign with whichever team drafts Bronny.

It will be much more difficult for LeBron to play with his youngest son, Bryce. That's because Bryce will not be draft eligible until 2026 at the earliest.

During the 2023 NBA All-Star weekend, LeBron was asked whether he would like to team up with Bryce in the NBA one day. He proceeded to give a very blunt answer, per Fox Sports’ Melissa Rohlin:

“I know I’m on the side of the hill, that’s for sure."

LeBron James, aged 38, would be 41 by the time Bryce is draft eligible in 2026. It’s still within the realm of possibility that LeBron could play that long, given his production this season. However, it remains to be seen if he will maintain the motivation to continue playing until the 2026-27 NBA season.
