The LA Lakers are off to a 0-3 start despite LeBron James and Anthony Davis playing at a high level. Former NBA players and analysts Tim Legler and Kendrick Perkins recently discussed the state of the team.
On "NBA Today," Perkins started by saying he was not sure when the Lakers will win their first game, but was confident the team would not win in Denver in their next match:
"I don't know when they will get a win, but I'm very confident to say that they will not tonight. I know that much, it will not be tonight. They are not going to Denver and winning that game tonight with that altitude and how it feels to play in Denver when that altitude kicks in in the second half. I know that much. I'm that confident that they will not win tonight."
Legler took it one step further by saying:
"Nobody wants to say it, I'm going to say it. They're going to go 0-7. Their first win is going to be against Utah at home November 4th. Get your popcorn ready, that'll be a big night."
Despite strong showings from both LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers have struggled mightily. Outside of the two stars, Lonnie Walker at 43.9% is the only rotation player who is shooting above 40% from the field.

Kendrick Perkins believe that the LA Lakers could be Russell Westbrook's last stop
After the LA Lakers spent the entire offseason shopping him, Russell Westbrook has started the season very poorly. The former Most Valuable Player has struggled mightily in the last two games and is expected to miss the match in Denver due to an injury.
Perkins believes Westbrook could be on his way out of the league if he doesn't change.
During a recent appearance on ESPN's "First Take," Perkins, a former teammate of Westbrook's, mentioned that the point guard's attitude is becoming cancerous. He claimed that this may lead to Westbrook being without a team next season:
"It's no reason to try to make the relationship work, that's gone. Russell Westbrook is not changing. He thinks he's an alpha male, and he has to be that somewhere else. Right now, it's no GM's in the league that's willing to take a chance on Russ and bring him to their locker room. If he don't be careful, he will find himself out of the league come next year."
Perkins has been a long-time supporter of Westbrook, so his comments are very telling. They reflect on just how poorly Russ has played so far this season.
