Rumors of an alleged affair between Gilbert Arenas' former partner Laura Govan and Shaquille O'Neal have recently resurfaced. Amid the renewed speculation, Govan called out Shaunie Henderson, the ex-wife of the former LA Lakers star, on Instagram on Wednesday.

The rumors linking Govan and O'Neal date back to 2009, when the big man was still married to Henderson. Both Govan and Shaunie, former partners of NBA stars, had starred in "Basketball Wives." Govan dated Arenas from 2002 until 2014, and Henderson was married to O'Neal from 2002 to 2011.

Although details remain vague, Govan took aim at O'Neal's former wife on Instagram by posting a video of Al Pacino from the movie "Scarface" in a now-deleted story where she tagged Henderson.

"If you can't handle it that's on you!" Govan posted while tagging Shaunie.

Laura Govan wants to talk with Shaunie Henderson before addressing the alleged affair

In an interview with Carlos King in October, Laura Govan said she wanted an opportunity to discuss her problems with Henderson. King asked Arenas's ex-partner about her connection with O'Neal's ex-wife, and Govan said she preferred a private conversation with her first.

"I won’t comment on this until I speak with Shaunie, the person who started these rumors. When she’s ready for a real, woman-to-woman conversation, I’ll set the record straight. Not only will you hear my side of the story, but I’ll also share some truths about Shaunie, okay?" Govan said.

Govan revealed that Henderson had messaged her privately about the show Basketball Wives.

"Shaunie actually DMs me and said that she wanted to clear up a rumor that she was the reason I wasn't on Basketball Wives," Govan said. "She DM'd me this year, in 2024 ... I just remember being like, 'Yeah, cool. That's what's up.'"

"Cause I see her, our daughters play basketball a lot together."

Govan appeared as a regular cast member in the first two seasons of the reality show. Although she did not show up in the succeeding seasons, she returned briefly as a guest in seasons five and 11.

Henderson, meanwhile, was a series regular from seasons four to nine and returned as a guest for seasons 10 and 11.
