Ja Morant is currently serving a two-game suspension imposed by the Memphis Grizzlies. Morant is under investigation by the NBA due to a viral video of him brandishing a gun. It happened at a strip club in Colorado following their loss to the Nuggets on Friday.

Morant released a statement apologizing for his actions through Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report. The young NBA superstar also deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts as he took some time away from the team to improve himself on how to deal with stress.

Morant released the following statement:

"I take full responsibility for my actions last night," Morant said. "I'm sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down. I'm going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being."

In addition to the NBA, police are also investigating Ja Morant's actions in an Instagram live video. The incident reportedly happened in Glendale, Colorado, which is a five-minute drive from Denver.

The Glendale Police Department also released a statement confirming their investigation. The state of Colorado has a law that prohibits people from carrying guns while drunk or under the influence of a controlled substance. Morant might have also broken CBA rules that could see him get suspended for at least 50 games.

Fans on social media have started calling Morant "Ja Warrant," considering the involvement of the police. Some even likened the Grizzlies guard to NBA YoungBoy, whose song "Bring 'Em Out" was playing during the viral Instagram live video.

Ja Morant missed the Memphis Grizzlies' 135-129 loss to the LA Clippers on Sunday. He's also set to miss the matchup against the LA Lakers on Tuesday as he continues to serve his two-game suspension.

However, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins revealed that there's no official timetable for Morant's return. This means that the young superstar could be out for an indefinite amount of time. There's also the possibility of a long suspension depending on the NBA and police investigation.

"We have said that it's going to be at least these two games," Jenkins said. "I mean, this is going be an ongoing healing process. ... It's really not a timetable situation.
"We're taking this very seriously. There's a supportive element for someone that's got to get better and needs some help. But then there's also accountability to the team that we've got to stand for."
