Jimmy Butler looks on at a game

Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler gave their fans something to be excited about late in the game against the Orlando Magic. Sending the game to OT with a clutch buzzer-beater, fans couldn't resist sharing their reactions to the shot.

Jimmy Butler has time and time again come up clutch for the Miami Heat. Saturday night was just another occasion for the star to do the same.

After a gritty three quarters of basketball action, the young Orlando Magic team managed to create some distance between themselves and the experienced Heat side. Led by Wendell Carter Jr. and Markelle Fultz, the Magic built a 15-point lead midway through the fourth.

Following this, Butler went absolutely mental as he singlehandedly brought the Heat back into the game. With support from Bam Adebayo and Kyle Lowry, Miami managed to bring it to a one-point deficit.

The Magic managed to make it a three-point game with five seconds on the clock behind Jalen Suggs' free-throw attempts. However, within the last five seconds, Butler produced some magic of his own.

Taking the ball out from the top of the key, Butler moved to the right wing with Carter and Suggs switching onto him.

With a pump fake to create an open look, Butler threw up a prayer from 27-feet to draw a foul. Instead of drawing a foul, the Heat forward laced a 3-pointer to send the game into OT.

Fans were shocked by Butler's shot. While sharing their reactions to the clutch play, we took a look at some of the best on Twitter:

Butler's heroics were well-received by a large group of fans. Given the impact he has on the team leading into the playoffs, Butler is an extremely valuable asset to the franchise.

However, his efforts in the fourth-quarter would result in an absolute failure for the Heat down the stretch.

Jimmy Butler didn't get a shot off in OT

The Orlando Magic blew out the Miami Heat in overtime. The Magic came out firing behind Markelle Fultz's jumpshot. With Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony and Wendell Carter Jr. following suit, the Heat had a tough time locking up defensively.

While the Miami Heat were disappointing to say the least, Jimmy Butler was the biggest disappointment of the lot. After a scintillating buzzer-beater to send the game to OT, Butler found himself completely iced out.

Butler led Miami's scoring charge with 38 points. However, his performance in OT saw him score 0 points while attempting 0 shots. This is truly unbecoming of a star-caliber player.

Meanwhile, Bam Adebayo's shot and Gabe Vincent's layup were the only two significant shots the Heat took in OT. The overall execution was truly subpar.

After evenly splitting their six-game homestand, the Heat lost their first game on the road to one of the lowest ranked teams in the East. Sitting at 36-33 on the season, the Heat are still in the play-in picture. However, given their current state, Miami will have a lot of problems to address if they are to return to playoff contention.
