LeBron James' net worth continues to grow while making money in the NBA and investments. James' net worth also continues to rise because of his stake in Liverpool, the soccer club. LeBron and his business partner, Maverick Carter, bought 2% of the club and it continues to grow.

Forbes reported that Liverpool is valued at $4.1 billion and generates about $619 million per year. With LeBron's 2% investment, the stake is worth around $44 million per year. That ownership will continue to grow as the Liverpool owners become minority shareholders in Fenway Sports Group.

Owning the Boston Red Sox, NASCAR's Fenway Roush Racing, and New England Sports Network will only get LeBron James more money.

"Working with Fenway Sports Group for the past decade has taught LeBron and me so much about the business on a global scale, and we've always believed it would lead to something bigger," Carter said.
"We are proud to be part of this iconic ownership group and are excited about the opportunities that come with that to continue creating change and empowering people of every race, gender and background to be part of the process."

What was LeBron James' net worth while buying a stake in Liverpool FC

LeBron James' net worth in 2011 wasn't as much as it currently is. However, he still had great money. At the time, it was in large part because of what he did as an NBA player. He made his money from business stuff too, but the NBA was where he was making the most of his money.

LeBron James hasn't always had the money he does now, especially growing up. Getting to this point in his life has meant a ton to him:

“My uncles always taught me — they taught me how to have a savings account,” James said in a podcast on his web platform, UNINTERRUPTED.
“They’d give me a dollar and they’d be like, ‘Listen, nephew, go spend 35 cents of it and keep the other 65.’ Or, if they gave me two dollars, they’d be like, ‘Go ahead and spend a dollar of it, but stash the other dollar.’”

On top of his insane basketball career, LeBron is an incredible businessman. LeBron realizes that he might be a better businessman than an NBA player, which is insane to think about:

“I got so much to give to the game. I know what it takes to win at this level. I know talent,” James told interviewers. “I also know how to run a business as well. And so, that is my goal. My goal is to own an NBA franchise, and it will be sooner than later.”

LeBron James visits Liverpool FC

LeBron James has even visited Liverpool FC a few times throughout his life. It's interesting because they have some of the best soccer players in the world. However, they still become starstruck when they see James. He's arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, so it makes sense that they go crazy when they see him.
