Michael Jordan racked up a ton of rivals during his time in the NBA, and some are even continuing to this day.

Earlier this week, Isiah Thomas and Jordan added a new chapter to their rivalry. The two clashed multiple times in the 1980s and '90s, and still take shots at each other. Recently, the Detroit Pistons legend made sure to set the record straight when praising the Chicago Bulls star.

When a Twitter post went viral of a Michael Jordan game against the "Bad Boy" Pistons, Thomas made sure to tell the whole story. While everyone was praising Jordan for his performance in the regular season, it was Thomas as the Pistons who went to the NBA Finals that year.

Not long after this post went up, Thomas began receiving backlash for coming after Jordan. The Hall of Fame point guard recently went on social media to share his side of the story. He isn't trying to take shots at Jordan, but merely pointing out how people choose to remember things.

"For the record I’m not beefing or hating on anyone. I am correcting and teaching factual documented history not mythology."

Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas have a storied feud

While some might feel this beef is one-sided these days, that isn't the case. Michael Jordan has also gone out of his way to make his feelings about Isiah Thomas known.

In 2020, ESPN released a six-part documentary titled "The Last Dance." It was an in-depth look at Jordan and the Chicago Bulls during the 1997-98 season. During an episode that included the "Bad Boy" Pistons, MJ didn't hold back with his thoughts about Thomas.

"Whatever he says now, you know it wasn't his true actions then," Jordan said. "You can show me anything you want, there's no way you can convince me he wasn't an a**hole."

The main piece of the feud between the two is centered around "The Dream Team." When the USA men's team was putting together a team for the Olympics in 1992, Jordan was front and center alongside Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

At the time the roster was being put together, Thomas was still one of the NBA's top guards. However, he never received consideration for a spot. This is believed to be because Jordan told the team he wouldn't play if Thomas made the cut.

Almost 30 years later, it appears that the bad blood between Jordan and Thomas is never going away.
