“I think KD has Jordan No.1, I think KD believes he's better than LeBron” – Chris Broussard cracks up on Kevin Durant placing himself with Michael Jordan & LeBron James as top 3 players ever

Kevin Durant has built a reputation as one of the NBA's most competitive players. That includes when asked about who he believes are some of the top players in the history of the game.

Throughout his 14 seasons, Durant has blossomed into a two-way superstar, becoming one of the greatest offensive forwards ever. Durant has been a 12-time All-Star and has won two NBA Finals MVPs. His impressive list of accomplishments also includes a Rookie of the Year award, an MVP and being a 10-time All-NBA selection.

When fans discuss some of the greatest to ever play, two names often come up. Those names include NBA legend Michael Jordan and LA Lakers superstar LeBron James.

But for a competitor like Durant, it would be unwise to think he doesn't see himself up with the duo of icons. After Sunday's game 116-103 loss to the LA Lakers, Durant praised LeBron.

"Top two player to ever play, top three player to ever play," Durant said.

On "First Things First," analyst Chris Broussard said:

"I think KD has Jordan No. 1. I think KD believes he's better than LeBron. I think he clearly thinks he's better than LeBron, because he's very much into skills. I don't know that he'd say it publically, but I think he thinks he's better than LeBron."

The Brooklyn Nets (6-9) have dealt with a roller coaster of emotions to start this season. Brooklyn started out the year winning just one of its first six games.

Coach Steve Nash was relieved of his duties on Nov. 1. The Nets also suspended starting point guard Kyrie Irving, who has now missed seven games. After recently naming Jacque Vaughn as head coach, Brooklyn looks to finally have some stability.

The Nets had won four of five games until suffering two disappointing losses. First, they lost 116-103 to the struggling LA Lakers on Sunday. Their most recent performance saw the team lose 153-121 against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.

If there's any positive from the start of the season, it's been the play of Kevin Durant, who is averaging 30.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. He's shooting 52.4%, including 35.3% from 3-point range.

Brooklyn finds itself in 12th place in the Eastern Conference standings. They will finish up their road trip against the Western Conference-leading Portland Trail Blazers (10-4) on Thursday night. After that, the Nets will head home to take on the Memphis Grizzlies (9-6) on Sunday.
