The Golden State Warriors overcame a huge game from Joel Embiid to take down the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday (Mar. 24) night. The defending champs have now won three straight games to improve to 39-36 on the season.

Embiid was simply unstoppable, putting up 46 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. He shot 13-for-23 and went 19-for-22 from the charity stripe. The Sixers played without James Harden, who was dealing with a sore left Achilles.

Meanwhile, Jordan Poole scored 33 points off the bench to lead Golden State to a 120-112 win. Steph Curry had 29 points, eight rebounds and three assists, while Klay Thompson added 21 points, six rebounds and two assists. They're still sixth in the Western Conference but are just one game behind the fourth spot occupied by the LA Clippers.

Fans on social media rejoiced as the Golden State Warriors won their third straight game. It has been an inconsistent season for the Warriors, especially on the road. They have won their last two road games, though, and have three more remaining away from the Chase Center.

Nevertheless, it was a great game between Golden State and the Philadelphia 76ers. Joel Embiid had another huge game that strengthened his MVP campaign, while Jordan Poole came to the rescue of the defending champs. One fan said:

The Golden State Warriors have seven games remaining in the regular season. Four will be at home, while three will be on the road. The Warriors have been great at the Chase Center all season, going 29-7. However, they have been rather abject on the road - 9-29.

Golden State's next three games are at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs. All their remaining games are important, with the Timberwolves and Pelicans vying for playoff and play-in spots.

The defending champs will be back on the road on Apr. 2 in Denver before returning to face the OKC Thunder at home two days later. They will end the season away from the Bay Area in Sacramento and Portland.

It will be interesting to see if Golden State can end the regular season on a winning streak. They will need all the road wins they can get, as it will help them get the momentum heading into the postseason. They're likely to open up the playoffs on the road unless they secure the fourth seed.
