Ja Morant will not be available for the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. The Grizzlies will start their 3-game road trip tonight in Dallas against the Mavericks, but won't be able to count on a couple of players.

The 23-year-old guard is still away from the team due to his problematic behavior. Morant is taking his time to deal with stress and improve his well-being, which is why he will miss his fifth straight game.

The Grizzlies will be without at least two more players for the matchup against the Mavs. The Mavericks, on the other hand, will be without Luka Doncic, while Kyrie Irving may also miss the game.


Ja Morant will not play for the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night

Ja Morant has been very problematic lately. Despite his incredible performances on the court, the two-time All-Star has been involved in numerous controversies. This is why he's currently away from the team.

According to the Memphis Grizzlies, Morant will be away for at least two more games. He will miss Monday night's matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, as well as the game against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.

It's important to note that the Grizzlies haven't revealed exactly when Ja Morant will return. Considering that the former Rookie of the Year is working on improving himself, he may be away from the team until April.

Morant is averaging 27.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game this season. He's the best player on the Grizzlies, who are currently tied with the Sacramento Kings for the second spot in the Western Conference.


At least two more players will miss the matchup against Dallas

Steven Adams, who leads the Grizzlies in rebounds with 11.5 boards per game, will also be sidelined against the Mavericks. The 6-foot-11 big man is dealing with knee issues and is expected to be out for a few more games.

The Grizzlies won't be able to count on Brandon Clarke's services either. Clarke, who is averaging 10.0 points on 65.6% shooting, will miss the rest of the 2022-23 season due to an achilles injury.

Jake LaRavia (back) and Vince Williams Jr. (shoulder), two Grizzlies rookies, are also dealing with injury problems and may miss the matchup against the Mavericks. However, they are currently listed as day-to-day and their status hasn't been revealed yet.

For the Mavericks, Luka Doncic has been ruled out of the game with a thigh injury. Kyrie Irving's foot injury could cause him to be sidelined for the matchup as well.
