Kevin Durant will enter his first full season as a member of the Phoenix Suns following his acquisition at the trade deadline earlier this year. Durant was plagued by injuries last season, playing just eight regular season games in Phoenix.

KD was healthy during the postseason, but the Suns came up short in the Western Conference semifinals against the Denver Nuggets. He remained injury-free in the offseason and played four of five preseason games. But will he be playing tonight against the Golden State Warriors?

According to ESPN's latest injury report, the former MVP is healthy and will be available to play in front of Warriors fans for the first time since leaving in 2019. He is expected to get a video tribute, so he'll most probably receive a huge ovation from the crowd.

However, the Phoenix Suns might not be without two of their three best players. While Kevin Durant is healthy and will play tonight, Bradley Beal and Devin Booker are both listed as questionable.

Beal is reportedly dealing with lower back tightness, while Booker has a sore left big toe. Both injuries are minor, so there's a chance the Suns' "Big 3" will be complete against the Golden State Warriors.

The only Suns player out against Golden State is Damion Lee, who is a former Warriors player and the brother-in-law of Steph Curry. Lee is recovering from knee surgery to repair a torn right meniscus. There's currently no timetable for his return.

Kevin Durant had three great seasons with the Golden State Warriors from 2016 to 2019, winning two NBA championships in three trips to the NBA Finals. Durant suffered a torn Achilles in his final game in a Warriors uniform, leaving Golden State for the Brooklyn Nets in the summer of 2019.

However, Durant's tenure with the Nets was a disaster. He played just 129 games in three and a half seasons in Brooklyn filled with injuries and team turmoil. He failed to play in front of Warriors fans during his entire time with the Nets.

That all changes on opening night when he faces his former team for the first time since 2019. He told reporters in a recent media availability that his relationship with Warriors fans is special and he's looking forward to tonight's game.

"Some incredible moments there," Durant said. "We have built a bond that don't really have to be spoken about. … I feel like they've been supporting me well before I came there, actually. And then once I became part of the Warriors, they just went even harder in support of me, myself and my teammates. Every player individually felt what it was like to play for the Golden State Warriors."
