LeBron James returned from a 13-game absence on Sunday in the LA Lakers’ 118-108 loss to the Chicago Bulls. For Wednesday night’s rematch, he has been ruled questionable due to a sore right foot.

The four-time MVP came off the bench in the loss to the Bulls as the Lakers wanted to ease him back into the rotation. He still played 30 minutes and finished the game with 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists.

Despite the long layoff, James didn’t look rusty. He made 6-11 field-goal attempts but was 0-2 from behind the arc. James made up for it by going 7-8 from the free-throw line.

The LA Lakers superstar said after the game that he felt good, but his rhythm was a little off, which was to be expected. He added that he just needed to get as much rest as possible.

“King James” was doubtful heading into Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bulls. His questionable status for tonight may not mean anything as his availability could once again be a game-time decision.

What is LeBron James’ status tonight against the Chicago Bulls?

LeBron James has been ruled questionable by the LA Lakers for the match-up against the Chicago Bulls. The four-time champ’s status was to be expected after playing for the first time on Sunday since injuring his right foot nearly a month ago.

James will once again be closely monitored by the Lakers’ training staff during the team’s morning shoot-around and pregame warmups.

The 19x NBA All-Star was reportedly limited in practice, so they’re still very cautious with his right foot. Barring any setback, he could be upgraded tonight to available.

If "King James" plays, Austin Reaves or Troy Brown Jr. could return to the bench.

LeBron James wasn’t as impactful as many hoped he would be. He put up decent numbers but the long layoff seemed to have affected his rhythm and impact. James himself admitted that he was “a little off.”

Anthony Davis was confident after the loss to the Chicago Bulls that “King James” will be back to his usual self.

James may not immediately return to his standards, but the Lakers will take whatever he can give them. The loss to the Bulls dropped their record to 37-38, which puts them in 9th place in the Western Conference.

The Dallas Mavericks (37-39), who are in the 11th spot, are only half a game behind them. Davis said a few days ago that they will be treating all their remaining games like they’re all Game 7s.

The LA Lakers will need the best version of LeBron James to keep their playoff hopes alive.
