IShowSpeed is known for his hilarious streams and outrageous guts to challenge elite athletes in different sports. While he is mostly known for his soccer challenges, IShowSpeed claimed he could beat Phoenix Suns’ star and two-time NBA champion, Kevin Durant, one-on-one on a basketball court, but under one condition.
In an interview with NFL legend and analyst Shannon Sharpe in his podcast Club Shay Shay, IShowSpeed said he would beat Durant if they would play one-on-one in a full-court setting instead of the usual half-court play. The streamer cited his speed as the difference maker.
“Listen, I could beat KD If it's a full-court one vs. one. because of my speed. But half-court, yeah he got it. But if it's a full court one v one, I'm like running, yeah, he won't, (1:00:59-1:01:08)” IShowSpeed said.
“I mean, KD is six-foot-10 or six-11. I’m five-nine. Let’s be realistic now (1:01;28-1:01;35),” the 19-year-old streamer said.

IShowSpeed has challenged numerous athletes before. Among those whom he competed against were boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles, soccer player Paul Pogba, gymnast Frederick Richard, and footballer Tyreek Hill, among others.
The streamer has in the past gone toe to toe with Durant in a traditional one-on-one basketball game which he lost convincingly.
Kevin Durant is considered to be one of the best scorers in basketball history. At 36 years old, Durant is averaging 27.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game for the Suns this season, playing alongside former NBA All-Stars Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.
Durant also won one regular season MVP award in 2014, before securing two Finals MVP nods in 2017 and 2018 when he played alongside Steph Curry for the Golden State Warriors.
IShowSpeed says Kevin Durant may not like him
IShowSpeed linked up with Kevin Durant for an episode of Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. He explained how it felt in the presence of the NBA veteran, whom the streamer idolized. He revealed that he had bought Durant's sneaker releases when he was still a kid. The streamer also thanked the veteran for being a sport by indulging in a basketball game with him.
"It was fun playing with KD, but I lost. I don't think he really liked me, but it was fun. You know, I've watched him while growing up. Bought all his shoes, KD 7s, KD 8s, KD 9s. That's my boy. KD if you watch this I love you. Peace out, great video. Thanks for doing the HORSE thing for me. Peace out, shout out to PRIME," IShowSpeed said.
