Isiah Thomas responds to fan over continued Michael Jordan row - "Fighting for yourself is everlasting"

Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas have not been shy about their longstanding beef that started ever since they started competing in the Eastern Conference in the prime of their careers.

On Twitter, Ballislife uploaded a video clip in celebration of Michael Jordan's performance against the Detroit "Bad Boys" Pistons on April 3, 1988. In response to the highlight clip, 12-time All-Star Isiah Thomas tweeted out that in that same season he was able to lead his Pistons to the NBA Finals.

Thomas pointed out how narratives can provide an interesting perspective on certain moments in NBA history depending on which angle is presented. In a typical back-and-forth discussion on Twitter, Isiah Thomas responded to one of the fan replies he received in his original tweet that questioned the persistent nature he has regarding his feud with six-time champion Michael Jordan.

"Standing up and fighting for yourself should never be confused with hate," Thomas said. "And yes fighting for yourself is everlasting."

Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan have both been vocal about their rocky relationship.

But after the release of the "The Last Dance" documentary, with Jordan calling the Pistons guard an "a**hole" for walking off after being defeated by the Chicago Bulls in the 1991 Eastern Conference finals, Thomas didn't take it lightly as he responded to it.

"You got on national television and you called me an a**hole, and then you said you hated me," Thomas said. "You said that on national television. Now, if you didn't mean it, get on national television and apologize for it."
