Philadelphia Eagles' fans mourned their team's loss at Super Bowl LVII. However, Jabari Smith Jr. showed virtually no sympathy as the Houston Rockets rookie was kept awake by fans who filled the streets of Philadelphia.

Super Bowl LVII action saw the Kansas City Chiefs rout the Philadelphia Eagles in the final quarter of action. With a 38-35 scoreline, the Chiefs successfully completed a comeback, riding on a heroic effort by Patrick Mahomes down the stretch.

Although the Eagles put up a dominant display in the first half, they went cold in the second. Needless to say, the display was less than satisfactory for the fans.

With a loss in the books, Eagles fans took to the streets of Philadelphia to grieve the loss. While valid, the procession garnered a rather harsh reaction from Houston Rockets rookie Jabari Smith Jr.

Smith, who was in his hotel room in Philadelphia, was kept awake by fans in the streets. Considering that the Rockets are set to face the 76ers on Monday, the rookie had his priorities set by getting his sleep in. However, the fans had other ideas.

In a hilarious turn of events, Smith posted a story on social media where he showcased a video of fans in Philadelphia reacting to the loss. However, he also rubbed salt in their wounds by saying:

"Hey, man. Can y'all just go to sleep? Y'all folks lost and y'all out beating drums keeping me up, man. I'm trying to sleep. I got Embiid tomorrow and y'all up beating drums.
"Please just go to sleep. I know y'all mad. I know. You win some, you lose some. But you live. Stop making all this noise, man. God damn!"

Smith's comments certainly do a lot of damage to the Eagles' faithful. After a gut-wrenching loss down the stretch, fans in Philadelphia were right to grieve. However, Smith has his priorities set.

With a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Jabari Smith Jr. is aware of the task at hand. Going up against one of the best players in the league on Monday night, Smith will need to be in top condition.

Jabari Smith Jr. needs to be prepared to face Joel Embiid

The Houston Rockets will play the Philadelphia 76ers for the second time this season on Monday night. Although the Rockets managed to record a double-OT win against the Sixers in their first meeting at home, Houston may face a greater challenge facing Philly on the road.

The matchup itself sees the Rockets being severely outclassed. Coming up against one of the most potent offenses in the NBA, Houston will have their hands full on dealing with Joel Embiid and James Harden.

Jabari Smith Jr. will also be tested in this game. After a double-double performance against the 76ers in the previous outing, Smith Jr. will see a lot more attention on him offensively.

Although he won't be directly matched up with Embiid, Smith will play a crucial role in containing the 76ers superstar. However, Embiid is still listed as questionable for the game with a foot injury. With this in mind, Smith may have to turn his attention towards containing Tobias Harris instead.
