Karl-Anthony Towns started a weird yet humorous beef with fast-food chain Popeyes. It all started when Towns took a jab at Anthony Edwards after the Minnesota Timberwolves fell to the San Antonio Spurs 115-106 on Monday.

Popeyes' crew took notice of KAT's statements and fired back at the Timberwolves' big man on Twitter:

“Good luck to every high level athlete who eats Popeyes regardless of what their teammates say.”

Looking at things in a better light, it's a hilarious back-and-forth between a famous fast-food restaurant and one of the biggest stars in the NBA. The situation is one that we could see in TV sitcoms. Then again, Popeyes does make a good point that there's nothing wrong with wanting to eat their fried chicken.

At the end of the day, these players work hard and would want to eat some good food too.

The Minnesota Timberwolves finally have great talent surrounding Karl-Anthony Towns. Obviously, the team decided to run with Towns when they decided to let go of Andrew Wiggins in 2020. KAT is the undisputed leader of the team. Being the leader, however, comes with great responsibilities that not many can live up to.

Not everyone can be like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan. The head of the table needs to have the respect of his teammates and the rest of the organization. Karl-Anthony Towns is only about to turn 27 in November, which means there are still some things that he's yet to learn himself.

But that doesn't mean he isn't capable of leading the Timberwolves. One major thing the team currently needs to work on is chemistry. Especially now that they have Rudy Gobert in their lineup. Once the Wolves start to gel and have more faith in each other, they'll definitely become a force to be reckoned with in the West.
