The NBA announced on Wednesday that Ja Morant would be suspended for eight games without pay due to his actions that were deemed "conduct detrimental to the league." In response, fans shared their reactions.

Morant has been without the team since last playing on March 3, dealing with several issues. The team was hoping to be with the young star soon, but was met with another setback after the two-time All-Star met with commissioner Adam Silver. As of now, his earliest return to the Memphis Grizzlies could be on March 20.

According to a report by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Morant met with the commissioner in New York earlier Wednesday. He also left a counseling program in Florida to prepare for his return.

The Grizzlies (41-26) are 3-2 without their point guard. They've are in second place, just one game ahead of the Sacramento Kings (40-27), in the Western Conference.
