Kevin Durant answers fan questions in hilarious manner - “Because I’m skinny and I do my work at night”

Kevin Durant is widely regarded as one of the greatest to ever play the game of basketball. With records and accolades to pair with this claim, Durant has earned his place in this category of players.

While Durant has a rather solid fan base, the Brooklyn Nets forward isn't the most expressive individual. Unlike LeBron James, Steph Curry, and even Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is often present in front of the media, Durant tends to let his game do the talking.

On his "Boardroom" channel, Durant featured a clip where he hilariously responded to some fan questions. When asked why Durant was called the "Slim Reaper," he responded by saying:

"Because I'm skinny and I do my work at night."

With regards to his famed Twitter profile picture, he said:

"Because I feel like a lot of people got their knives aimed at me. And I'm just back chilling with a smirk on my face."

Given his reputation as a relatively controversial individual, Durant has often garnered negative criticism for his actions. However, he hasn't let this affect the way he approaches the game or other situations.

Durant dropped a few other pearls during the short interview as well. Dismissing questions regarding his height and acknowledging comments about him being "ashy," KD kept his answers clean and precise.

He concluded the interview with some hard-hitting advice. When asked about the best advice he'd ever received, he said:

"Nobody cares. Go to work."

This advice often also reflects Durant's approach to the game and his work ethic. Known for the quote, "Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard," KD tends to live up to this philosophy.

Placing a major emphasis on working hard and delivering, Durant tirelessly devotes his time to basketball. Needless to say, this has yielded impressive results as he remains one of the best players in the game.

Kevin Durant interacts with his fans on social media

While Kevin Durant isn't the most visible personality, the Brooklyn Nets superstar is quite an active presence on social media. Primarily seen posting on Twitter, Durant often engages with fans in the virtual space.

While Durant is popularly rumored to have several burner accounts, KD doesn't hold back from responding to fans on his main account. Often seen lurking and responding to people in his comments section, the Nets superstar is relentless when clapping back at hateful comments.

The nature of these interactions is often a source of entertainment for those following the threads. However, it also presents him in a very different light.

While several athletes often take the high road and ignore comments, Durant taking on haters head-on is a refreshing change of pace. With the behavior also reflecting Durant's on-court "villain" persona at times, fans can also engage with and relate to such displays.
