Kevin Durant doesn't want anyone hitting him up for New York Liberty tickets after it was announced that Breanna Stewart was signing with the team. As the WNBA offseason continues, more and more big moves have made headlines this week.

As one of the biggest free agents, fans were eagerly awaiting news on where Stewart would take her talents this year. With plenty of mystery surrounding where she was going to end up, her decision brings to an end one of the biggest offseason WNBA storylines.

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant was quick to take to Twitter to weigh in on the situation.

For Stewart, this will mark her first season outside of Seattle, where she has spent the first six years of her career. During her time with the team, she won two championships (in 2018 and 2020), cementing her place as one of the most dominant women in the league.

Kevin Durant's recent pitch to Stewart

This offseason, Breanna Stewart seemingly had the WNBA and its fans in the palm of her hand. Over the course of the last few weeks, she narrowed down her decision to the Liberty and the Seattle Storm. While many predicted that she would be on the way out of Seattle, others were confident that she would ride it out with the team.

As he revealed during a recent episode of "The Boardroom," he actually reached out to Stewart in the wake of the Liberty's three-team trade last month. After acquiring former MVP Jonquel Jones, the Liberty seemed poised for a big season, and Durant was all-in.

"Stewie come here, it's gonna be ridiculous," Durant said. "I hit (Breanna Stewart) the other day – and I never do this – and was like, 'Yo, it would be an incredible dynasty in New York City if you came here.' I don't think she's seen it yet, but they cooking up. You get the MVP, former MVP. You got the fifth pick in the draft, and there's some good girls coming up.
"You got Sabrina (Ionescu), obviously. They cooking, man. They doing their thing. They bringing the best talent to New York. If they win a chip here's, it's going to be Barclay's going to be jumping. So, yeah, I'm looking forward to it. ... They got a good coach, good fan base, Brooklyn excited about having them so. Add her to the equation!"

With the bolstered roster and the acquisition of Stewart, the Liberty will likely now find themselves as the betting favorites to win it all this season. However, Candace Parker recently broke some major news of her own, signing with the Las Vegas Aces after two seasons with the Chicago Sky.

As the Aces look to go back-to-back in the WNBA finals, the New York Liberty could give them some problems.
