New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns was one of the sports stars who raved on X about Saquon Barkley’s game on Sunday. Barkley racked up 302 scrimmage yards in a 37-20 win over the LA Rams.
“@saquon is HIM!” Towns wrote after Week 12 of the NFL season.
Barkley rushed for 255 yards and two touchdowns, setting the Eagles franchise's single-game rushing record. His 302 scrimmage yards also put him in the top 10 for a single game in NFL history. Barkley is also on pace to shatter the single-season rushing-yard record of 2,105, set by Eric Dickerson in 1984.

Barkley has also solidified his case for this season’s NFL MVP award, chasing quarterbacks Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson to become the first non-quarterback to win it since Adrian Peterson in 2012.
In his sport, Towns has also been putting up solid numbers this season. He averages 26.1 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 33.4 minutes per game as the starting center for the Knicks. He was traded to the Knicks in the offseason in exchange for Donte DiVincenzo and Julius Randle.
With Towns alongside NBA All-Star Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges, the Knicks have slowly climbed up the Eastern Conference standings, currently holding a 9-7 record, good for the fourth spot.
Karl-Anthony Towns plays through a calf injury in November
Karl-Anthony Towns has reportedly been managing a left calf strain injury throughout November. He soldiered through a left knee injury at the start of the month but was only forced to sit out November 15 in a game against the Brooklyn Nets.
Towns has played 15 of the Knicks’ 16 games this season but is questionable to play in their game against the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.
Despite the injury, Towns’ offensive contributions have been felt since the start of the season. He has scored in double digits in all of their games, and his lowest scoring output only came in the season-opening blowout loss against the defending champions Boston Celtics.
Towns has also scored 40+ points on two occasions this season, with the first being against the Miami Heat on Oct. 30, where he scored 44, and against the Chicago Bulls on Nov. 13, where he tallied 46.
