LeBron James ties Michael Jordan for ridiculous record with 46 pts against LA Clippers: All you need to know

LeBron James' historic NBA season continues as he tied a record held by Michael Jordan on Tuesday night.

The LA Lakers took on the LA Clippers and lost 133-115. Despite a humiliating loss, LBJ had no reason to keep his head down as he put up another legendary performance. Trying to carry the Lakers to victory, James added 46 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

After his 46-point game against the Clippers, LeBron James is now tied with Michael Jordan for the most 45-point games at the age of 38 or more. With 34 games remaining in the Lakers' season, James could comfortably surpass Jordan and hold the record outright this season.

As usual, LBJ haters on social media always find a way to negate his achievements. Here are some of their reactions:

"No one cares."
"And after today, how many losses has he gained over MJ? Haha"
"Like we’ve all been saying these are empty stats because most of the time they lose when he tries to score so much, another reason why he is only ranked about #9 on the goat chart"

While LeBron James is putting up high-level performances every night, the LA Lakers continue to struggle securing wins.

The Lakers recently lost to the LA Clippers, putting them back in the 13th seed with a 22-26 record. The Purple and Gold have only 34 games left to secure a playoff spot or at least make the play-in tournament.

The Lakers' future seems uncertain for now, but that doesn't mean it will no longer be sunny in Los Angeles. Despite the obstacles the organization is currently facing, "King" James is having a historic season. He's broken, tied, and created records all in one season. In just a few more games, James is about to break the greatest record of all, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time best in career points.

Even if LeBron James ends up missing the playoffs once again, at least he still has a few achievements to be proud of by the end of the season. However, James' accomplishments might not sit well with the fans, especially if they don't compete in at least one round of the post-season.

With that in mind, the Lakers organization still has till February 9 to make final adjustments to their roster. Although the team recently acquired Rui Hachimura, fans are yet to see him in action. The question now is, will Hachimura become the solution to LA's problems?
