Doncic wasted no time in making his presence felt as he marked his Lakers preseason debut with highlight play and scored the team's first basket. He looked a little rusty but still found a way to impose his will on both ends of the floor. Doncic played extended minutes in the first quarter and recorded 10 points on 3 of 4 shooting, including 1 of 2 from beyond the arc.

By the second quarter, Luka Doncic was firing on all cylinders. The Lakers fans relished his connection and chemistry with Deandre Ayton. Apart from finding his teammates and breaking down the Suns' defense with his playmaking, Doncic went deep in his bag to entertain the crowd inside the arena.

Doncic kept his foot on the pedal and looked for his shot even more after the halftime break. The Lakers' point guard attempted five shots in the third quarter but succeeded in making only one. He sat out the entire fourth quarter after putting on a show in the first three periods.
