Julius Randle's perfect streak of playing in all of the New York Knicks games might be coming to an end.

Randle suffered a left ankle injury during the Knicks' game against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night. There are no reports yet about whether or not he will be available for Friday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Julius Randle's injury took place during the second quarter of the game with 2:40 remaining on the clock. Randle fought for the rebound after a missed shot from Immanuel Quickley. The Knicks star was able to secure the board but twisted his left ankle while landing. He struggled to get back up and had to be helped back to the locker room.

Julius Randle's comeback season

The New York Knicks have been a solid team this season as they have managed to stay within the top five of the East all year long. A big reason for that is thanks to Julius Randle and his impeccable performances. Randle has been leading the charge for the Knicks as he is averaging 25.4 points, 10 rebounds, and 4.1 assists.

His stellar outings have helped New York become an elite team this season and led to Randle being named an All-Star once again. The last time the Knicks star was named an All-Star was back in the 2020-21 season.

However, with Randle potentially sidelined for a while after suffering an injury on Wednesday, this might be a major problem for the Knicks. If he ends up missing the postseason due to an ankle injury, they might have to say goodbye to a potentially deep playoff run. Hopefully, his injury wouldn’t be as bad as we think it might be.
