Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban took to X (formerly Twitter) in the wee hours of Wednesday morning to congratulate Donald Trump on winning the Presidential elections as per declarations. The former POTUS leads Democrat leader Kamala Harris 247-214 at the time of writing. Cuban, however, took to social media to end his long-running tirade against Trump.
Cuban called the win "fair and square" in his tweet, while also adding:
"Congrats @realDonaldTrump . You won fair and square. Congrats to @elonmusk as well. #Godspeed"

Mark Cuban's take possibly comes from decision desks and media houses already projecting Trump as the winner as he has won enough electoral votes to win the presidency. Per AP's live coverage, Trump led the count by 33.
Mark Cuban issued an apology over Donald Trump's women's remark
Leading up to the elections, Mark Cuban appeared on ABC's 'The View' and shared his two cents that Donald Trump did not surround himself with "strong, intelligent women". His comments were a response to co-host and former Trump aide Alyssa Farah Griffin's question about the former POTUS not asking former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley to help him increase support from female voters.
"Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It's just that simple. They're intimidating to him. He doesn't like to be challenged by them. Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can't have her around. It wouldn't work."
Soon after, he tweeted an apology:
"When I said this during the interview, I didn't get it out exactly the way I thought I did. So I apologize to anyone who felt slighted or upset by my response. As I said, it wasn't about Trump voters, supporters or employees. Current or former. And, I set myself up for the 6 sec soundbite. No excuses. Can't nail every interview. My skin is thick enough.
He added that he had set himself up for the soundbite and there were no excuses. Cuban said his "skin was thick enough" and that he couldn't ace every interview.
Last month, the Mavericks' minority owner also said he would support Trump if Harris didn't win. Stating that he was America first, Cuban revealed that he had been asked by Trump to help with health care. Only time will tell if this pans out in the days to come.
