"Must’ve bet everything on the Suns": NBA fans creeped out as Phoenix fan meltdown goes viral following Devin Booker & Kevin Durant's fail

Minnesota Timberwolves v Phoenix Suns - Game Three
A Phoenix Suns fan had a meltdown during the Game 3 between Suns and the Timberwolves

Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns lost the third straight game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the opening round of the playoffs. They are now trailing the series 3-0, as the fear of elimination looms over the Suns. It seems like some of the Suns fans are unable to handle the pressure.

On Friday, when Kevin Durant and the Suns hosted the Timberwolves for Game 3 at the Footprint Center, one of the die-hard Suns fans had a meltdown during the game. A middle-aged fan kept repeating to the woman with him, "I love them," at the top of his lungs.

He then continued to shout, "What the f*** are we doing here?" while the woman tried to take him away from the seats.

The NBA fans did have some hilarious reactions to the video on X (formerly Twitter).

Some fans wrote that the fan had made his bet on the Suns in the game and was perhaps acting in distress.

"He must've bet everything he had on the Suns."

One of the fans hilariously wrote,

"I know when someone lost a parlay."

Referring to the Suns being behind only two points when the fan broke down, a fan said that the fan lost hope early in the game.

"He crashed out when it was only a 2 point game lol."
"Get a life !!! It ain’t no where near that serious, grown man acting like that in public lol," a fan said.

Some fans said that the fan's public meltdown wasn't due to the Suns' loss.

"There is high, and then there is HIGH," a fan commented.

Another fan wrote:

"Note to self: don’t take too many psychedelics at indoor sports events."

Kevin Durant and the Suns were booed by the fans

With the players that the Phoenix Suns have on their roster, the early expectation was nothing less than a championship. As the season progressed, it decreased in light of the struggles that the Suns went through the season.

However, amidst all the rise and fall, no one expects the Suns to get eliminated in the opening round, and that perhaps hurt the fans. Kevin Durant and the Suns are 3-0 down in the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. After the third loss on Friday, the Suns fans booed their team at the Footprint Center.

When Kevin Durant was asked about facing backlash from the fans, he said the team would "use it as fuel" for the next game.

"They expect so much out of us and they pay their hard-earned money, and they deserve to react how they want to react," Durant said. "It's on us as players to use it as fuel, and hopefully it ignites us for the next game."

Kevin Durant and the Suns have a history standing against them, as no team has ever made a comeback from 0-3 in the series. Moreover, the Timberwolves have beaten them on both ends of the floor. They are better than the Suns in almost every category and pose a big hump to get ahead in the series.
