Nick Wright shares lucid argument proving Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo as best players: “Those 2 guys are at different level”

Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo have displayed high-level basketball plays this season, which have made them fan favorites. Sports analyst Nick Wright shared his take on why both international stars are the NBA's best players right now.

"Giannis and Luka have shown beyond a shadow of a doubt they are the two best players in the league, Wright said. "Giannis, one. Luka, two. Every other great player in this league, either this year or the last few years, if their second-best guy isn't there, the team struggles to win half its games.

"LeBron (James), lost AD (Anthony Davis. Team can't win half its games. Steph (Curry), a couple of years ago, didn't have Klay (Thompson). They missed the playoffs. (Nikola) Jokic, last year, didn't have Jamal Murray. They're the sixth seed. (Kevin) Durant, this year, Kyrie (Irving), when he was going sabbatical, they're dead in the water."

"Those two guys are at a different level. Our teams can be contenders, even without our second-best guy. And if you give me our second-best guy, we'll probably win the whole damn thing."

The 2022-23 season for Doncic has been incredible. He's putting up historic numbers that could give him the MVP award. His most iconic performance was against the New York Knicks. The three-time All-Star scored 60 points, grabbed 21 rebounds and dished out 10 assists to will his team to victory.

Giannis, on the other hand, has carried the Milwaukee Bucks to a 25-13 record. The Greek Freak recently posted 55 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists to beat the Washington Wizards. Antetokounmpo is looking forward to adding more hardware to his collection, which is why he's been playing incredibly well.

Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo are both in the MVP race, which even validates Wright's point of them being the best players in the league.

Over the past few seasons, it's been noticeable that the league is full of talented international ball players. Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo are both outstanding athletes. However, in giving the two credit, the analyst left out the reigning league MVP, Nikola Jokic.

It's quite disrespectful for Jokic to be ignored, despite his excellent play this year. Many believe that he has a chance at winning his third MVP in a row, but that might not be the case, given the tight competition. Still, failing to mention the Serbian center as one of the best players in the league is insulting.
