Derrick White's ear injury did not prevent him from playing against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night. Despite all the pain he dealt with, White decided to play and help the Boston Celtics win their last game before the All-Star break.

White has been incredible so far in February, averaging 22.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game before his injury. Due to his impressive performances, the Celtics guard was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Feb. 13.

Unfortunately, it appears that White's ear injury may have been caused by Grayson Allen, who is considered one of the dirtiest players in the league.

Grayson Allen blamed for Derrick White's ear injury

White suffered a ruptured eardrum during the second quarter against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night. This occurred during his collision with Grayson Allen, who was then blamed for White's injury.

Allen's reputation is very bad as he's considered one of the dirtiest players in the NBA. This isn't the first time that he's injured his opponents, but the league hasn't done much about it.

Despite the injury, the Celtics guard stayed in the game and spent 43 minutes on the floor. He finished the match with a 27-point 12-assist double-double, but the Celtics lost by six points in overtime, 131-125.

Many Celtics fans think that Allen once again tried to injure his opponent on purpose. Considering his history, this comes as no surprise.

However, some Twitter users don't think that the Bucks guard did anything wrong. Despite all the controversy that surrounds Allen, he simply tried to get a loose ball from White.

Some basketball fans pointed out how the Celtics have Marcus Smart and Blake Griffin, two notorious floppers.

A lot of fans who dislike Allen don't think that he did anything wrong. While Derrick White's ear injury may have been somewhat caused by Allen's presence, the Bucks guard definitely did not do anything malicious.

White has been fantastic for the Boston Celtics

Derrick White hasn't missed a single game for the Boston Celtics this season. Due to this, it's not surprising that he decided to play against the Detroit Pistons, despite his injury.

In 59 games, White has averaged 11.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. The veteran guard has also been efficient from long range, converting 38.5% of his 3-point shots.
