Nikola Jokic leads NBA MVP Race

The NBA's MVP race this season is led by Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic. As a two-time back-to-back MVP, Jokic stands a very good chance of winning it all again. Jokic's contributions to Denver are insurmountable. Given the role he plays in the team's offense, the Nuggets are solely reliant on Jokic to produce and run plays.

That has been the case with Denver over the last few seasons and in 2023 too. The Nuggets are atop the Western conference with a 51-26 record. Jokic recently missed a few games due to injury. The impact his absence had on Denver's overall performance was telling.

When considering the sheer impact he has had on the team, it's tough to ignore Jokic's claim to be the MVP again.
