Nikola Jokic is a Serbian professional basketball player who plays as a center for the Denver Nuggets of the NBA. He was drafted with the 41st pick by the Denver Nuggets in the 2014 NBA draft. Jokic was part of the Serbian team which won Silver at 2016 Olympics.
Jokic started his professional basketball career with Mega Bemax of ABA League in 2012 and was Adriatic League MVP in 2015. He averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds per game during his rookie season and was named in NBA All-Rookie First Team. He scored 40 points over the New York Knicks on February 10, 2017. Jokic finished second in the 2017 NBA Most Improved Player Award voting.
On November 7, 2017, Jokic scored a career-high 41 points against the Brooklyn Nets. He holds the record for quickest triple-double in NBA history in 14 minutes and 33 seconds against the Milwaukee Bucks During the 2017-18 season, he had seven 30-plus games.
Jokic signed a five-year, $148 million max contract extension with the Nuggets on July 9, 2018.
