It was a back-and-forth game, with the Sixers ahead by nine with about five minutes left in the fourth quarter. Kevin Durant carried the Suns on his back, scoring 11 points in that final stretch to steal the 118-116 win. Durant finished with 35 points, four rebounds and six assists.
Devin Booker, who went scoreless in the fourth quarter, only had 13 points on 18 shots, while Bradley Beal added 17 points and five rebounds. Tyrese Maxey had 32 points for the Sixers, with George missing the game-tying shot in the final moments of the contest.

The first quarter was tightly contested, with the Philadelphia 76ers gaining the upper hand and building a 10-point lead midway through the period. The Phoenix Suns made some adjustments and were able to tie the game with 45 seconds remaining before Devin Booker restored a 28-26 lead to end the quarter.
In the second quarter, the Sixers tried to control the game and regain a big lead. The Suns were not letting them and continued to trade buckets throughout the period. Booker was the difference-maker again, scoring the last two points of the quarter for a 65-63 advantage at the half.
It was the same story in the third quarter, with the Suns and Sixers trading buckets and leads. Phoenix gained a one-point lead entering the fourth period, but Philly took control early in the quarter. The Sixers had a nine-point lead midway through the period before Kevin Durant took over.
With Philly still up 115-110, Durant trimmed it to just three points with two free throws. Grayson Allen made it a one-point game before KD gave the Suns the 116-115 lead with a tough fadeaway jumper with a minute left.
Tyrese Maxey split his free throws to tie the game at 116, but Durant was not going to be denied. He drove to the basket and scored an acrobatic layup to give the Suns a two-point lead. Phoenix held on to earn their fifth straight win and sixth overall for the season.
The Philadelphia 76ers dropped to 1-5 for the season, which is the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference and a third-worst in the entire league just behind the 1-6 Milwaukee Bucks and Utah Jazz.
On the other hand, the Phoenix Suns improved to 6-1, the fourth-best record in the NBA tied with the Golden Stae Warriors.
