Former 24th-overall pick RJ Hampton has caught flak from fans following a video posted showing his argument with his ex-partner, Tiffany Jeffcoat. She took the chance to get Hampton on the record about physically abusing her and posted it online on Monday. Together, they share a one-year-old son, Halo.
The two met up for their son and got into a heated exchange. According to the video, both Jeffcoat and Halo traveled 11 hours to meet with Hampton. The family met at a hotel where the topic of physical abuse came up. The former Orlando Magic player started mocking his ex's abuse.

Following the incident between the two, Jeffcoat reportedly posted a video on TikTok, which is now deleted, showing that she was left alone in Oklahoma. She claimed that the NBA player took their son with him, according to Page Six.
"R.J. literally snatched Halo off the ground, walked out, hopped in the car and left," she claimed. "Didn’t tell me where they were going … didn’t take back any of his stuff. He’s not allowed to do that."
While she contacted the authorities for help, they couldn't do anything as it was a "civil matter." Hampton has not released any statement regarding his former partner's claims. Luckily, Jeffcoat updated her Instagram stories as she posted a photo of Halo with her.
Since getting drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2020, Hampton has bounced around the league. His NBA career started with the Denver Nuggets, then played for the Orlando Magic. He spent some time with Lakeland Magic, Orlando's G-League team before securing a roster spot with the Detroit Pistons.
RJ Hampton joined the Miami Heat in 2023 before returning to the G-League with the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Last season, he stayed in the developmental league and played for the Delaware Blue Coats.

The moment RJ Hampton took off with his son, Jeffcoat started to worry. In the video she posted on TikTok, she showed that she was still at the hotel lobby waiting for the two to return. However, she has not received any update from Hampton regarding their whereabouts.
"It is now 7:26pm, I've been sitting in the lobby since 2pm," Jeffcoat said. "Still no room, Halo's still not back. Don't know where he is, I hope he ate dinner, I hope -- I mean, poor thing's been up since 5am, his bedtime was an hour ago. I hope he is back soon because, technically, his visitation schedule that he does -- he's supposed to have access to the child is from 8 to 8.
"I would hope that he does at least abide by that part and bring him back by 8pm... and I will have my baby back."
Jeffcoat updated her followers on social media that Halo is currently back with her with a picture of him sleeping and a caption that read: "Thank you to everyone who reached out."
