LeBron James once encountered a rare yet hilarious reporter, who Caitlin Clark faced for the first time after Indiana Fever's 100-93 win against the Dallas Wings on Sunday. The reporter in question, Scoops Callahan, uses 1920s slang and has a history of pranking athletes with comical questions. He is from Dallas.

With Clark in town, Callahan didn't waste the opportunity to interact with one of the most trending athletes in basketball. He had the WNBA rookie sensation stumped with a question about the Fever's 100-81 road win over Angel Reese's Chicago Sky on Friday.

“After giving the razmataz to those Windy City skyscrapers Friday night, what was the biggest wingding game you expected to find today in the shindig against these dynamos from Big D?" Callahan asked Clark.

The former Iowa prospect went speechless and didn't answer the question.

NBA legend LeBron James had his turn with Scoops Callahan during the 2019-20 season ahead of the Lakers' clash against Luka Doncic and his Dallas Mavericks team.

"Champ, let me ask you about tonight. How do you and your hardball occasions from Lakerland plan to put their lid on Luka Doncic and his razmataz hot skiddly-do on the money-making end of the court?" Callahan asked.

Unlike Caitlin Clark, James seemingly didn't mind playing around with Callahan, trying his best to reply in the 1920s-style language.

"I don't know if we can stop the 'razz-kazz diggidy-do,' but we can just, you know, make it tough on both (Doncic and Dirk Nowitzki) of them," James said. "Two great talents and hopefully we come through it."

NFL legends Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Eli Manning, Bill Belichick, and soccer legend David Beckham are among the prominent names in the sporting landscape who have interacted with Scoops Callahan before.

LeBron James in awe of Caitlin Clark

LeBron James and Caitlin Clark are arguably the most polarizing athletes in the NBA and WNBA, respectively. Clark has faced similar criticism that James endured during his rookie year. After the Fever star's exceptional outing against rival Angel Reese on Friday, James lauded her, subtly throwing shade at her 'haters.'

"CAITLIN CLARK!!!!! HI HATERS," James tweeted.

The Lakers superstar followed his tweet by retweeting highlights of Clark's 31-point and 12-assist outing against the Sky. The

LeBron James knows better than most about the pressure Caitlin Clark is under to perform to the best of her abilities because of her critics and lack of acknowledgment of her greatness, something he faced for majority of his career.

It isn't surprising to see him show that he's in Clark's corner as she takes her initial steps in her professional career.
