Jason Kidd and the Dallas Mavericks are getting prepared for Wednesday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. But the coach is going to have pay a hefty bill to the NBA.

The NBA on Wednesday announced that Kidd has been fined $25,000 for "irrational behavior on the court." The incident took place in Monday night's 116-106 loss to the Timberwolves.

With two minutes remaining in the third quarter, superstar Luka Doncic attempted to draw a foul on a shot attempt. No call was made, which got the displeasure of both Doncic and his coach. Kidd went on the court to confront an official with his disagreement.

The Dallas Mavericks coach was given two technical fouls and ejected from the game. Doncic was also ejected.

The Dallas Mavericks (15-16) are looking to get back on track after Monday night's loss. Dallas is set to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves (16-15) again on Wednesday.

Kidd and the Mavericks have struggled to generate any consistent momentum this season. Dallas has lost its last two games, is 2-5 in its last seven games and 6-10 since Nov. 18.

After Wednesday night's showdown against the Timberwolves, Dallas will head to Houston to take on the Rockets (9-21) on Friday.
