NBA fans reacted to the LA Lakers' lack of offseason moves, as they are one of the three teams that haven't signed a free agent. Most teams, 27 to be exact, have tweaked their rosters in a few ways. Whether it was via free-agent signing or trades, the Lakers have lacked player movement to help them compete for the 2024-25 season.

The Lakers were part of many free-agency rumors this summer. From All-Stars to role players, the franchise was constantly mentioned. However, the team hasn't done anything to improve since free agency started.

The only notable moves during the summer were hiring JJ Redick as coach, drafting Bronny James and re-signing LeBron James to a new deal.

Fans shared their thoughts on how the Lakers have performed this offseason. Here are some of what the fans said about LA's free agency.

"Everyone else is playing chess while Rob's playing pin the tail on the donkey," one fan criticized Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka.

"That what happens when you have zero cap space and won’t trade anyone with an ounce of value," a fan hit the Lakers.
"All the Lakers care about is their jersey sales for Bronny," another fan shared.

Through all this, some fans see things differently. Here are some of the fans who have remained positive about the Lakers' lack of player signing.

Which players can the LA Lakers still pursue?

The LA Lakers can still add a few players this summer. That is if they are interested in trading a few players in exchange.

With Klay Thompson joining the Dallas Mavericks, the Lakers should look for other shooters to acquire. Memphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard is one of their best options this summer. Kennard is a knockdown shooter who could help the team's spacing concerns as he's a 43.9% shooter from downtown in his career.

Another player the Lakers could look to trade for is Jonas Valanciunas. Although the big man already signed with the Washington Wizards this summer, ESPN's Brian Windhorst said a trade for him could still be in play.

"I wouldn’t rule out Jonas Valanciunas eventually ending up a Laker this year, that’s all I’m gonna say," Windhorst said.

The Lakers will just have to be willing to move a few players to make room and give their team a good chance next season.
