Skip Bayless challenges Kevin Durant to appear on his podcast: "Let's talk hidden agendas, you and I, one-on-one"

TV analyst Skip Bayless has challenged Kevin Durant to come on his podcast for a one-on-one session. Bayless has been one of KD's biggest fans. However, the Brooklyn Nets superstar took shots at Bayless during a fan interaction on Twitter.

The fan questioned why Bayless thinks he knows about Durant's thoughts and feelings about various situations or people, to which the latter replied by saying:

"He doesn’t but he knows the audience is so easily influenced that whatever he says will be taken as law"

Bayless hasn't shied away from hitting back at NBA players whenever he gets called out for his statements. He has also invited some of them on the talk show he hosts or on his podcast. Bayless' response to Durant's jab was along the same lines. Here's what he tweeted:

"Hey, Kevin Durant: I have my opinions, you have yours. I challenge you to join me on my podcast and tell me exactly where I'm wrong. Let's talk hidden agendas, you and I, one-on-one. I've been your biggest fan. This will be a breeze for you."

Durant is yet to respond to Bayless' invitation. KD was in action for the Brooklyn Nets against the Sacramento Kings when the TV analyst tweeted his response. The Nets suffered a 32-point loss and conceded a franchise-record 153 points during that contest.

Durant played well, scoring 27 points on 53.3% shooting, but after a hammering like that, it's unlikely that he'll appear on Bayless' podcast anytime soon.

Not the first time Kevin Durant has publicly slammed Skip Bayless

Kevin Durant has been quite blunt on Twitter. He hasn't hesitated to engage in exchanges with his fans or analysts. Skip Bayless faced the heat once, but was surprised after he appreciated Durant and taunted LeBron James through one of his tweets.

KD single-handedly willed the Brooklyn Nets to a 131-129 overtime win over the Toronto Raptors during a regular season game last December. He bagged 34 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for the shorthanded Nets, who were without All-Star James Harden and many other rotation players due to Covid-19 protocols. Here's what Bayless wrote about KD's performance:

"The Best Player on the Planet was at it again tonight in Brooklyn, going assassin in overtime for the COVID-rocked Nets. Nothing like Kevin Durant. You watch, Bron?"

Durant hilariously shut Bayless down, saying he really doesn't "like" him. Bayless believed KD was pulling off a Michael Jordan-esque move by fabricating beefs to enter a competitive zone.

Bayless maintained his admiration for Durant last time out, but that doesn't seem to be the case now. It would be interesting to see the two have a one-on-one conversation, as both individuals are unfazed by making their thoughts known.
