Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr praised Jordan Poole despite his late turnover in the loss to the Detroit Pistons. Klay Thompson almost forced overtime, but Saddiq Bey hit a game-winning 3-point shot at the buzzer to give the Pistons a 122-119 win.

In his postgame interview, Kerr had nothing but praise for Poole when asked about his vital turnover late in the fourth quarter. He told reporters that Poole made two big shots before his turnover. Kerr also called it a learning experience for the young guard.

"He's also hitting huge shots for us," Kerr said. "He had two big jumpers down the stretch. Jordan's made so many big plays for us and helped us win so many games. But what's great is everything is a learning experience for him at this stage of his career. ... He made one mistake, but he made two big shots right before that."

Jordan Poole lost the ball with six seconds left in the game and the Golden State Warriors down by one point. Killian Hayes hit two free throws to give the Detroit Pistons some cushion, but Klay Thompson tied the game with a clutch 3-point shot with one second left.

The Pistons called a timeout with the game possibly going into overtime. However, Saddiq Bey had other plans, as he hit a game-winning 3-point shot at the buzzer. Pistons players mobbed Bey, while fans inside the Chase Center went silent. The loss also snapped the Warriors' five-game winning streak.

With Steph Curry likely to miss another week, Poole has to continue playing great for the defending champions. They have two more games at home against the Orlando Magic and Phoenix Suns before going on a five-game road trip.

Curry confirmed during Wednesday's broadcast that he has not suffered any setback and is hoping to return next week. The reigning Finals MVP was having a 50/40/90 season and averaging 30.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.0 steals before his injury.
