People have come to recognize the hidden killer that Haliburton usually hides behind his childish smile. American rapper and die-hard LA Lakers fan Lil Wayne was found rallying behind the Pacers star on social media.

Wayne posted a long message for Tyrese Haliburton in his post on X. The "Lollipop" singer highlighted the urgency for the Pacers star to sweep the OKC Thunder.

"Hali u gon have to sweep these boyz to get some real respect from these folks," Wayne wrote in his message. "Ya clearly walking on water rn and they act like ya surfing. Hang ten dude and make em ride ya wave! Or drown. Ain’t that a beach."

Tyrese Haliburton's meteoric rise to superstardom in just under two months has been unprecedented. His clutch performances have been historic. In every playoff series, the Pacers' star has either hit a game-tying shot that his team eventually won, or he has hit the game-winning shot.

Lil Wayne's message for Haliburton underscores the urgency of winning a championship, especially after the NBA star was voted the league's most "overrated" player. If he claims the title this season, it would be a defining response to his critics, arguably the coldest and most satisfying in NBA history.

Metta Sandiford-Artest makes a big Tyrese Haliburton & Reggie Miller comparison

Tyrese Haliburton is arguably the Indiana Pacers' best player since Reggie Miller. Winning a championship could quickly elevate his status among fans, cementing his place in franchise history.

2010 NBA Champion Metta Sandiford-Artest made a big statement about Haliburton ahead of Game 2 of the NBA Finals. In a conversation with Sportskeeda's Mark Medina, the former Pacers player dubbed Haliburton "Reggie Miller 1.5," describing him as a new and improved version of the Pacers legend.

"He reminds me of Reggie Miller. He's like the new and improved Reggie Miller," Sandiford-Artest said. "If you really look at it, he's the new and improved Reggie Miller."
"Tyrese is if Reggie had a handle. If Reggie had handle like Tyrese and if Reggie had a ragged jump shot. Reggie could shoot. But you never saw Reggie perform tricks with the ball. But if Reggie had a handle, that's what Tyrese has."

Tyrese Haliburton lifted his team to a 1-0 lead against the Thunder in Game 1 with a game-winner. The Eastern Conference champions will face the Thunder at Paycom Center.
