Brooklyn Nets wing T.J. Warren is nearing his NBA return after being on the sidelines for almost two seasons.

The former Indiana Pacers star is ready to go after an extended run on the sidelines due to an injury he suffered in December 2020.

According to reports, T.J. Warren is slated to make his NBA return on December 2 against the Toronto Raptors. Warren has shown steady progress in his rehab as he continues to build his conditioning.

When asked how he is feeling about his return, Warren said:

"I’m just excited to get back out there. It’s been so long. So definitely exciting to do what I love to do. And I just can’t wait. I could just feel that itch.”

T.J. Warren has averaged 15.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in his career. His return will give the Nets another scoring option off the bench. Warren had a breakout run in the NBA Bubble in 2020. However, an injury later that year has kept him out of action.

What is T.J. Warren’s Injury, How long is TJ Warren expected to be out for

T.J. Warren underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot which kept him on the sidelines for an extended period. It also ruled him out for the entirety of the 2021-22 NBA season. He signed a one-year contract with the Nets during the off-season.

When asked about his rehab situation, Warren said the following in October:

"I'm doing everything I can. The training staff has been great and I like my progression. I'm on track so I'm excited about that."

Warren was recently cleared for 5-on-5 scrimmages and hasn't suffered any setbacks. Even though he hasn't played a game for Brooklyn, he has traveled for most of the team's road games.

Brooklyn Nets' signing of T.J. Warren during the off-season was seen as a low-risk, high-reward addition. If he can get back to his 'Bubble Warren' version, the Brooklyn Nets could instill more fear in their Eastern Conference rivals.
