Michael Jordan's former teammate Dennis Rodman has said that MJ is the greatest basketball player ever as he changed the game during his illustrious career.

Ever since LeBron James won the NBA championship in 2016, fans and media have engaged in several debates on the greatest basketball player of all time.

Dennis Rodman, who played alongside the great Michael Jordan for three seasons, believes that how Jordan influenced the game was never seen before.

In an interview for a Thanksgiving special with the NBA's 2K YouTube channel, Rodman said:

"You guys gonna find out some really cool history about this one man that changed the game of basketball literally for all of us and for all you kids today because you buying this guy's stuff and all this stuff is like gold. I think he's the greatest."

Dennis Rodman also added that Michael Jordan's work ethic and his aim for perfection made him go the extra mile. This showed during the biggest moments of his career as MJ always seemed to be at a level ahead of everyone else.

"I mean just because of what he brought to the whole community of basketball around the world. Every practice man I mean every practice, him and Scottie go at it. Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman won three straight NBA championships together

Dennis Rodman is one of the greatest rebounders in NBA history. He made a name for himself on the 'Bad Boys' Detroit Pistons as he became their defensive enforcer and rebounding leader. Hence, it was surprising at first to see Rodman signing with rivals the Chicago Bulls to play alongside Jordan and Pippen.

With Rodman on the team and Jordan having a full off-season to work with after announcing his return to the sport, the Bulls meant business heading into the 1995-96 NBA season. They recorded a historic season, a 72-10 regular season record and winning the championship without playing a Game 7 in the post season.

Jordan and Rodman won two more championships as the Bulls completed their second three-peat in the 1990s, cementing their place as the most dominant team in NBA history.

During his illustrious career, Michael Jordan won a lot of individual and team accolades. He won six championships, six finals MVPs, five league MVPs, 10 scoring titles and a Defensive Player of the Year. Besides individual awards, Jordan also had a massive cultural impact on the sport as he took the game global in the 1990s.
