Fans have reacted to LiAngelo Ball's dream of playing with his brothers Lonzo Ball and LaMelo Ball in the NBA. The former Astros de Jalisco guard, on the “Unapologetically Angel” podcast by Angel Reese, shared his thoughts about his basketball plans. He's not closing the doors to playing overseas again but is looking for a call from the G League.
Once he gets a chance to play in the G League, LiAngelo is convinced a stint in the NBA would eventually arrive. When asked by Reese if he plans to play with his brothers on the same team, he didn’t hesitate to reply:
“That’s what I’m trying to do. That’s why I’m trying to get to the G League. I gotta open my doors.”

Fans on X (formerly Twitter), though, jumped on LiAngelo Ball for his comments:
“LiAngelo can be the thanasis antetokounmpo of the hornets”
One said:
“career was over when he stole them glasses”
Another commented:
“Pull up to the lakers anything is better than dlo”
AidanLaPorta69 couldn’t resist:
“This isn’t the centel???”
Jbondwagon added:
“No way that’s happening in NBA, as you can’t make it back in the league, & Lonzo’s too injured to stay in the league.”
LaMelo Ball could try to convince the Charlotte Hornets to sign both his brothers next season. They might sign Lonzo Ball but likely not LiAngelo Ball.
The second of the Ball brothers played summer league games in the NBA and had stints with the Greensboro Swarm, the Hornets’ G League affiliate. The most he could earn was a non-guaranteed contract with the Hornets.
After not lasting long in the G League, LiAngelo went to Mexico to play for Astros de Jalisco. He injured his ankle two games into his contract and left in March to rehabilitate in the US.
Meanwhile, the eldest of the siblings just returned from nearly three years of injury layoff. The Chicago Bulls guard, who will be an unrestricted free agent next season, showed flashes of his old self. But, Zo has played just three games this season and admitted that his body isn’t what it used to be.
LiAngelo Ball has been working out after recovering from an ankle injury
LiAngelo Ball reportedly completed rehabilitating his injured ankle in three months. He has started working out to push for a call from the G League. A clip of Ball training in the gym created a stir on social media.
The clip showed the former Chino Hills star looking more buff than ever. He was seen doing cardio and strength training. Getting in shape is his first step towards possibly returning to the G League for another shot at the NBA.
