The Atlanta Hawks came away with a surprising win in LA, riding on Trae Young and his late-game heroics. Young spoke about the win against the Clippers, and also shed light on the team's approach towards mounting a comeback.

The Atlanta Hawks notched a spectacular comeback win against the LA Clippers on Sunday night. Coming off a loss to the LA Lakers, the Hawks managed to rid themselves of the ghost in LA after some tremendous performances on both ends of the floor.

Although the Clippers almost ran away with the game in the early parts of the fourth quarter, the Hawks mounted a furious comeback. In a charge led by Trae Young and John Collins, Atlanta handed LA their sixth consecutive loss.

Following the epic comeback victory, Young was asked about the team's efforts. With a specific emphasis on the fourth quarter, Young highlighted the key aspects of the win. He said:

"It's just not getting our heads too down. In the NBA, teams are going to make runs. We're going to make our runs, they are too. It's just waiting the storm on their runs and then finishing the game out when we got it."

Young also gave huge props to his teammate De'Andre Hunter, who did a spectacular job of defending Clippers star Kawhi Leonard late in the game.

In the process of shutting down Leonard in the closing minutes of the game, Hunter showed tremendous discipline. This gave the Hawks an opportunity to claw their way back.

Trae Young also highlighted the difference in approach to offense in the second and fourth quarters. He said:

"It's just making the right reads. I've just got to do a good job of getting our teammates involved and then, in the fourth quarter, it's up to DJ and me to get the a good shot every possession to try to finish the game. I'm just glad we got the win. That's the most important part."

Trae Young goes off for 30 to lead Atlanta to a win

Sunday night's win against the LA Clippers may have been a collaborative effort for the Atlanta Hawks, but Trae Young undoubtedly shone brightest. Notching 30 points and eight assists on the night, Young did a great job of putting the game out of LA's reach in the fourth quarter.

Heading into the fourth, the Hawks were down by two points. However, as the game progressed, the Clippers managed to create some distance through solid shooting and aggressive work in the paint.

At this point, the Hawks started to turn the heat up. Young had an active role in almost every Atlanta bucket in the fourth quarter. Finding the open man, hitting timely shots and showing composure during free throws, Trae Young did it all.

With some solid support from John Collins and De'Andre Hunter on the defensive side of things, Young was able to bring out the potential of the Hawks' offense.

With two timely floaters and two free throws to end the game, Young rang up the win for Atlanta. Topping off their road trip with a win, the Atlanta Hawks managed to prevent any more bleeding after their previous loss.

Heading home with some momentum, the Hawks will look to improve their record against the Milwaukee Bucks.
