Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant joined Kay Adams' show "Up & Adams" to offer his thoughts on the ongoing race for the NFL playoffs. The two-time NBA champion talked about the AFC, where the Miami Dolphins (5-6)), Indianapolis Colts (5-7) and Cincinnati Bengals (4-7) are trying to knock out one of the Baltimore Ravens (8-4), LA Chargers (7-4) and Denver Broncos (7-5) to secure a spot in the postseason.

Durant mentioned why each of these teams have a shot at making the postseason, but ultimately said that one quarterback had the advantage over the other two.

"The paper says the Bengals should be in, 'cause they got the most talent and experience," Durant said. "Then the Dolphins is next up, 'cause they got talent and experience and continuity as well. The Colts are an up-and-down team, they're always inconsistent to me, but they always come through. That division is not--Houston is not playing great, every week, but we'll see.
"If I had to take anybody, I'm taking the Bengals, 'cause I trust Joe Burrow more than anybody else."

The Bengals and Dolphins are pretty much eliminated from the race to win their respective divisions since the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3) and Ravens are the clear favorites to win the AFC North while the Buffalo Bills (9-2) are unstoppable in the AFC East. The Colts could still take CJ Stroud and the Texans (7-5) out in the final stretch of the season.

The 2024 campaign didn't start the best way for the Bengals, who lost the season opener against the weak Patriots and then dropped four more games. They're still trying to recover from that tumultuous start and if they get hot at the right time, the Bengals would be a dangerous opponent come playoff time.

Kevin Durant is set to return to the court

After sharing his opinion on the AFC playoff race, Kevin Durant is ready to make another special appearance. The veteran forward has been inactive since Nov. 9 and his time away is set to finish tonight.

Both "KD" and Bradley Beal are set to come back to the hardwood against the LA Lakers on Tuesday in an NBA Cup duel. The Suns posted an 8-1 record with Durant and Beal on the court and are in a 1-6 run since both players picked up injuries.

Kevin Durant's Commanders are also in the hunt for a playoff spot, but it's time for him to return to work to put his team in a better position in the standing.
