Chicago Bulls star Alex Caruso in action

A sensational video has emerged in which Warriors coach Steve Kerr appears to be telling Alex Caruso he would love to see him play for the Dubs. The video went viral after the Warriors' 119-111 home win over the Bulls on Friday.

Here's the clip of Kerr and Caruso interacting with each other (via Kevin O'Connor):

"I'd love to have you man," Kerr appears to tell Caruso.

It's too early to jump to any conclusion, as Kerr and Caruso could be talking about an entirely different topic. However, the latter would be a solid fit with the Warriors. The former Lakers guard isn't among the best offensive players, especially with his scoring.

However, he wouldn't be needed for his services on that end of the floor. The Warriors will benefit from his off-ball movement and perimeter defense. Their second unit has struggled on the defensive end of the floor all year, and the versatile presence of Caruso will help them improve in that regard.

Caruso is also a respectable 3-point shooter. He is 36.5% from the arc during his career, which is above the league average (35.6%). Caruso would be an ideal fit in the closing lineup for the Dubs in a small ball setup, sending Kevon Looney to the bench and Draymond Green as a five.

Warriors will face stiff competition for Alex Caruso's services

Alex Caruso's fit with the Warriors is excellent. It would significantly improve the team's bench. However, the cost of acquiring Caruso via trade could be a stumbling block. The Warriors may have to part ways with young players like Moses Moody.

The franchise is trying to develop prospects like Moody while staying competitive. Moody hasn't cemented his spot in the rotation, but he is a player with tremendous upside. It may be too early for the Dubs to call time on one of their best prospects.

Meanwhile, the Warriors will also face stiff competition from rival teams for the services of Caruso if the Bulls decide to sell and enter the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes. He is one of the best role players in the league and many contenders would be an exceptional fit for the 28-year-old.
