Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and LA Clippers forward Marcus Morris are known to be two of the NBA’s chippiest players. Both veterans put their notorious reputations on full display during their matchup on Wednesday night. This came as Morris and Green got involved in a second-quarter altercation and needed to be separated.

The altercation started when Warriors superstar point guard Steph Curry attempted a 3-pointer in the final minute of the second quarter. Green was boxing out Morris. Morris then threw Green to the ground. As expected, Green immediately jumped up to defend himself. Morris was later ejected from the game after being called for a flagrant 2.

Watch the altercation below:

Marcus Morris finished with two points and two assists on 25.0% shooting in just 15 minutes. Meanwhile, Draymond Green finished with eight points, eight rebounds, five assists and one steal on 42.9% shooting.

The Clippers (37-33, fifth in the West) defeated the Warriors (36-34, sixth in the West) 134-126.

Draymond Green received his 16th technical foul of the season shortly before his altercation with Marcus Morris. This occurred when Los Angeles Clippers big man Ivica Zubac scored in the closing minutes of the second quarter. Green grabbed the ball after the basket and threw it at Clippers point guard Russell Westbrook.

Green now faces an automatic one-game suspension for the Warriors' next game against Atlanta, according to NBA regulations. This assumes the NBA will not revoke the technical.

Draymond Green is averaging 8.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.0 steal and 0.8 blocks per game on 52.3% shooting through 62 games.

Golden State is 3-5 without Green this season.
