Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors visited Capital One Arena in Washington DC and grabbed a much-needed win over the Wizards. The baby-faced assassin took over in the fourth quarter and willed his team to victory. He scored 12 of his 41 points in the final six minutes of the game.

The league was celebrating Martin Luther King Day and the game was attended by several celebrities. Capital One Arena is just two miles away from the Lincoln Memorial, where Dr. King gave his iconic "I Have a Dream" speech. Washington DC is one of the best cities to celebrate MLK Day, along with Atlanta.

Steph Curry was greeted by Bay Area rappers E-40 and Mistah F.A.B., both hip-hop legends and longtime Warriors fans. E-40 was wearing a leather jacket overflowing with Warriors logos.

Additionally, J. Cole was in attendance. The award-winning rapper is one of Curry's closest friends. He was seen in the stands sitting next to and talking to Warriors general manager Bob Myers.

J. Cole is a huge basketball fan and considers it his second favorite thing to do after music. He has played overseas in Rwanda and in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Cole also headlined the 2019 NBA All-Star Game halftime show and has participated in a number of Celebrity All-Star games.

Steph Curry joked with J. Cole after getting eliminated in the NBA play-in tournament in 2021

Steph Curry and J. Cole share a special bond. Cole has been attending NBA events for years. He often chats with Curry before and after Warriors games. After the Dubs were eliminated in the 2021 play-in tournament, Cole joined Curry's Instagram Live. The two talked extensively about basketball.

J. Cole released his album "Offseason" earlier that year. Once Curry was eliminated from postseason contention, he joked that Cole was welcoming him into the offseason.

J. Cole was practicing for his African League team Rwanda Patriots BBC and joined Curry's IG Live after the shootaround. Cole jokingly asked Curry if he could send some of his shooting abilities to Rwanda:

"Now that you’re done for the season, if you could send me some powers across the waters to Rwanda."

Curry gave Cole advice, suggesting he just needs to get his legs underneath him.

The Warriors are currently seventh in the Western Conference with a 22-22 record. They have two more games left on their five-game road trip and we know they have been abysmal on away from Chase Center. Their next game is a Finals rematch against the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden. They won their first Finals rematch in San Francisco, so Jayson Tatum and co. will certainly look to get revenge.
