France's Guerschon Yabusele was one of the best performers in this year's Olympic Basketball tournament with his relentless attack to the basket and strong rebounding presence. On Sunday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Yabusele is joining the Philadelphia 76ers on a one-year, $2.1 million minimum contract. Several NBA fans were ecstatic with his return to the league.

They also highlighted the possibility of Yabusele being a different player from his Celtics days with a revamped playstyle and physique.

"He might be a lot better than he was when he was in Boston. He seems to have lost a considerable amount of weight and has adapted the skill set to play the three or the four," the fan posted.
"I like this. Possible low risk high reward type of deal at a position of need for Philly. Love personal stories like this and I liked Yabu when he played in Boston. I'm rooting for him," the fan posted.

This offseason, Philadelphia has made it clear that they want to surround Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey with the appropriate supporting pieces to contend for a championship. Following the acquisitions of Paul George and Caleb Martin, this latest move continues to add to the vision of a stacked roster.

NBA insider talked about the 76ers' latest acquisition in the offseason

ESPN's Tim Bontemps followed up on Wojnarowski's report by providing insight on the 76ers front office's decision to acquire the six-foot-eight forward.

"Yabusele is a low-risk flier for a Sixers team that needed another body at the 4 behind Caleb Martin," Bontemps posted on X. "He’s improved his shot from the closer international 3-point line; his success in the NBA will come down to whether or not that translates back to the deeper one, too."

Yabusele is another rotation piece that the Philadelphia 76ers could utilize coming off the bench to provide stable production alongside Caleb Martin. He finished this year's Olympic run with France by putting up 14.0 ppg (51.9% shooting, including 28.6% from beyond the arc) and 3.3 rpg.

His improved shot from three-point range and quickness of the bounce marked an improvement in his skill set compared to his previous years in the NBA.
