When LeBron James teamed up with Michael Jordan and went unbeaten in a surprising contest

Michael Jordan and LeBron James are often compared by NBA fans as their ranking among the greatest basketball players of all-time is constantly debated. The two superstars once teamed up together during a pick-up run and won every game played, according to the Los Angeles Lakers star. Speaking on UNINTERRUPTED's WRTS: After Party, James stated:

"That's Michael Jordan's camp in Santa Barbara. We were on the same team then. I was a rookie in the league, and I went to Santa Barbara to MJ's camp and we used to play around nine o'clock PM. The camp would end, he would let the kids watch the first game around like 8:30 and then he'd have all the kids leave."

He added:

"We would stay along with the college kids that he would invite to the games as well, or to the camp I should say. We would get a good a** run in for about a good hour, hour-15, and yeah, so I was on the team with MJ and we didn't lose a game."

While playing against either LeBron James or Michael Jordan would be a daunting task, attempting to guard both players in a five-on-five pick-up game would be seemingly impossible. Despite James being a rookie and Jordan being retired, it is no surprise that they were able to win each contest.

LeBron James discusses first time meeting Michael Jordan

LeBron James has not been shy about the fact that Michael Jordan was his favorite player growing up. While speaking on UNINTERRUPTED's WRTS: After Party, the Los Angeles Lakers star discussed his first meeting with the six-time NBA champion, stating:

"When I met Michael Jordan for the first time, I literally couldn't believe it was him. I couldn't believe it. The dude looked like Jesus Christ to me. He was black Jesus to me. Nobody could tell me anything different."

James elaborated on meeting his idol, adding:

"I didn't think he was real, man, you don't understand. I didn't think Michael Jordan was real. I only thought he lived in the TV... If the man above would've took me that day, I would've lived a he** of a life."

While James was in awe after meeting Jordan as a high school sophomore, he is now on the other side of the coin as young fans are often star-struck by his presence.
